Commercial View on PE assets

Hi WSO Community,

I have a 5th round interview with a PE fund next week and I've already proven my modelling and personal skills and so on. What they want to see now is my commercial view on two companies they've sent over. They really stress the fact that they want a strategic and commercial view, such as my thoughts on the businesses, the key areas I think are important to focus on when considering if they are good PE assets etc. Rather light on anything technical.

I already have a good idea about what I want to show them, but since I need to present this next week, I thought it might be good to have another view from someone more experienced on how to structure this and what not to forget when looking at two companies from a commercial point of view.

So any ideas?

Grateful for all comments!
