Student here: I understand that search funds are similar to small "private equity funds" which raise capital to buy out a business and its MP becomes the CEO of the acquired company.
But, what is the day-to-day even like? How do they find businesses? Do they go on bizbuysell or something or just find a random local business on facebook and write them a cold email?
