Anyone have any thoughts on breaking into consumer focused funds following a non consumer background? Did banking and then private credit but honestly want to do something more growth/brand building focused but not sure if it’s too long of a put to get looks

I have a friend there. While they do some consumer, I would say they tend to focus more on media & entertainment. They are also a growth fund, not buyout
