Founded by John May. Has an Industrials and a Services vertical (I think services is ran out of Cleveland). Associates get carry in the funds and co-invest with [3.0]x leverage. Quick to deploy capital (+/- to this)
Absolutely awful to work for on the sell side. Super sweaty folks
Do they love to iterate or lots of misc and rework
Iterate + insane timelines and very hands on
Were they sending emails and markups super-late? Or was it a "its 6pm, here is a massive mark-up - send a revised copy in the AM" type of thing?
Excellent track record investing in precision machining and niche metal fab businesses. Operational focus on optimizing good businesses then scaling. Really sharp team.
