Deal sourcing problem

Based on your experience, what's the biggest problem: getting a good database of potential targets or outreaching them effectively?

It looks like there're only three database providers (PitchBook, ZoomInfo, Sourcescrub, etc.) and many general-purpose outreach solutions (Apollo, Outreach, etc.). I know some companies solve the database problem by "just google it".

What's the current experience in your company and what do you find the hardest to do?

I have seen and previewed some new deal sourcing software that uses some form of internet scrubbing to find key terms, last raises, and other information that could be used to source and reach out for acquisition or possible M&A representation. One I found interesting was Cyndx (not involved with them as a customer just liked the demo). I think there will be more competition in the space soon.
