Did you all send in your reviews / recommendations when recruiting for PE?

Some headhunters have asked me for my year end reviews. My company gives us a PDF with all of our written feedback on it, so I was going to share it. My feedback was very positive, but some reviewers mentioned “continue to seek out modeling opportunities” or “I look forward to giving Name more modeling work because he did great with [xyz deal] model”.

On my resume, I said I ran the model (or one of the models) on all the deals I listed (only did on half), so I’m worried those review comments might make it look like I’m over emphasizing my modeling experience. Should I share my reviews anyway / is sharing your Year-End feedback highly important to headhunters? Would the positive feedback outweigh the minor details of those comments?

I have a good relationship with our staffer, and I’ve already confirmed he’s willing to help me out - would it be better to get a written recommendation from him rather than share my full review? One headhunter said a written rec wasn’t necessary, but I’m considering it anyway

Thanks in advance for any advice

This is super dependent on the firm. Personally, I always communicated to recruiters that I would be happy to provide current firm references if and when a written offer was passed on to me given I didn't want to have people calling my VP or Director for jobs I was still being "considered" for.

I've never been asked for a written recco given most recruiters (oxb, cpi, henk) have asked for emails and phone numbers and it would frankly be weird to send over a full pdf or screenshot review.
