Emailing PE professional that you met 2 years ago through university presentation

During my masters I had the chance to go to some presentations from PE funds in the city, before I started work etc. I am now almost 2 years into my IB role and was thinking to reach out to one of the presenters at the time. The guy still works at the fund (think Carlyle, Advent, Apollo,..) but I am 100% positive he won't remember me personally given the presentation was in a group of like 15 people and there were no one-on-one conversations after. How would you play this? If it matters, we did not go to the same school.
