ER —> HF —> PE?
After one year of M&A work experience, I’ll be joining a merger arb equity research firm. Lots of the analysts exit to top HFs. Prior to this move, I thought I’d do the typical IB —> PE route. Reaching out wondering if HF —> PE is possible in my path? Would I have to get MBA or if you work hard learn a lot network very effectively etc, you can make that transition if you ultimately want to down the line? Pls lmk any thoughts
