Essential readings for Tech investing?
Hey all! Hoping to leverage the collective wisdom of tech investors in the WSO community (especially software).
I’ll be working in tech investing down the line, (larger growth equity / MM / UMM PE shop), and while I’ve done a little bit of work in the space I’m still a relative rookie and would love to get a bit more familiar with industry dynamics and some of the more technical elements that’ll help me get up to speed.
For anyone here working in tech investing, are there any must reads? Books, etc, and any other suggestions are all welcome!
It's all blogs. No books. What vertical?
Would span multiple: vertical applications, infrastructure, etc., but really looking for more of a generalist education. Something like how you’d recommend Intelligent Investor to someone going to work at a value fund.
What are some of these blogs? Starting from a place of relative ignorance so open to reading anything!

How do you actually develop an interest in tech? Tech seems to be the future but I feel I have zero interest in it.
I haven’t found a go to book but agree there a range of topics to learn. Guess you can also take comfort from the fact that you’ll learn a skill set that isn’t easy to find in a single book.

Not sure about essential readings on the technical side, but there several podcasts that interview VCs and founders. Some person favorites are "Acquired FM," "Invest Like the Best," and "Not Boring." Solid podcasts that often discuss the more thesis-driven approach to technology investing.
