Female leaders/executives to follow

Hi all,

If I want to enhance my public speaking skills by learning from the best, who would be a great speaker (preferably female) for me to study?

As a female junior in the industry, I was hoping I could have a female mentor and observe how they manage ppl and power-talk. However, all the senior people at my firm are male. Therefore, I’m planning to watch interviews or speeches delivered by female leaders in the financial industry.

If anyone has any recommendations/ideas that would be great. Thanks!!

Do the Dale Carnegie speaking course! It's awesome and really helped me to learn how to do public speaking. The best way to get good is to practice and so you can put that practice to work.

I wish I had a good name to give you (but I work in Long Only AM, where practically all senior management are also men lol). My mentor is a (partially retired) woman and has been super helpful with navigating managing people, negotiating, and presenting.

A great woman who I previously worked for was Dottie Mattison. She has had an incredible career, starting literally from selling clothes in a Gap store, to running their entire online and retail division. She eventually moved into banking and was a Senior MD at Guggenheim. Incredible woman who beamed with confidence and who was practically born to power-talk. She had a great talk with Lionel Richie to give you a possible place to start. Hope I could help and good luck!!

Why does everyone on this forum have exactly one brain cell when it comes to anything related to women.
