Getting references from analysts
Interviewing with a PE firm, and they asked for references.
My experience has consisted of internships at one bank and one small VC gig. The latter is easy because the team was like 3 people, so the VP is more than willing to give a reference.
The former is a little trickier because I had very, very little interaction with the MD or even VPs. 95% of my work was submitted to analysts, 5% went to an associate. In this case, is it okay giving reference(s) from senior analysts / associates?
