What is GIP's rep in the space? As someone in M&A group atm how should I think about it vs other 2022 on-cycle opps like BX, Apollo, KKR?
Are you solely focused on energy/power infra? Arguable the strongest in the space, generated 20% on their first two funds. They do a decent amount of transport (mostly of out of UK given the market) as well but far less diversified than the names you mentioned. Have tried to get into digital and other nascent sectors but haven’t made much headway versus others. Hours/culture are about as rough as you can get.
What has the format been for the GIP process? Just curious.
2x 30 minute first rounds with associates (I had 1x technical 1x behavioral but I'm sure it varies), 90min infra-specific modeling test, and then 2x 30 minute final rounds with VP / Principal (deal focused) was my experience
Any tips/resources on how to prepare for the infra specific modeling test?
