Gobuyside applies you to jobs without your consent!!
GoBuyside apparently applied for me for my current position without my consent. From what I've gathered and after speaking to friends with profiles on their platform, it seems that GoBuyside automatically applies people for jobs in order to artificially claim their searches have a higher volume of applicants than actually do. I eventually was hired for a PE role that used GoBuyside as their recruiter, and we realized that GoBuyside had falsely reported that I applied for this job weeks before I had even heard about the role (wonder why?). Has this happened to other people?! This is so messed up.
Yes I remember this happening to me when I was first out of college and that's what prompted me to stop using their platform.
