Going from account management in financial technology to placement agent

Hi all! I work for a big asset manager, managing accounts with large clients but have grown rather bored of the role. I'm also not fond of the upward trajectory and prospects in my job. I ran a technology startup part time over the past year and got to have some experience in fundraising. I became enamored by the whole ecosystem of fundraising and noticed I was good at it. I'm a natural salesperson that wants to make that my career. I also interned in private equity, and investment banking in college so I have prior knowledge of high finance. I just became aware of placement agents and I'm trying to curate a strategy to get into one. Any tips or advice? For more context, I am about two and half years out of college.
