Going to banking from PE after ASO stint

I never did banking. Instead went from corpfin to PE at a non-name LMM fund for 4 years and have realized that I'm just not a competitive candidate when trying to lateral/look at HFs. Is it even feasible to try and shoot for BB/EB banking as an experienced analyst or associate to get that credential and then look to move back to the buyside? I feel stuck and don't know what to do.
