Growth Buyout Recruiting Technical Questions (Consumer Specific)

Have a potential lateral role I'm interviewing for (currently ASO 2) for a large growth equity firm investing in consumer. I say growth buyout in the title because they do use some leverage if the check size is large and I've heard they test and give out traditional LBO's to candidates as well.

Generally curious as to what these technical interviews entail? Are they mainly deal specific (I've worked and closed on a couple buyouts) or do they ask the technicals we've all seen in the guides out there? Is there more of a focus on revenue growth and FCF - this and couple other firms that're similar only focus on buying profitable businesses for their growth strategy.

If it's more deal / industry specific questions, what might they ask and how deep do they usually get? How do the technical questions for PE / Growth consumer investing different?

Lastly - what are the key metrics one should have down for consumer companies and any other questions that may be key to focus on studying.

Would appreciate any inputs from all the investors - thanks!
