Growth MF comp VP
Hi everyone,
was wondering about comp at VP level in growth MF (think of General Atlantic). Is 500k (base + bonus) accurate enough?
Thanks a lot

500k is literally ASO2 comp at a shop like apollo
Thanks but Apollo is not GE :)
How does VP shop at a place like TA / GA compare to a VP place at a classic LBO firm (e.g., Berkshire / Leonard Green / Advent / New Mountain)?
Yes, pay at MFs is at a very similar level (if not the same) across main investing strategies until you are eligible to receive carried interest. 500k is about right. APO comp is an outlier as everyone knows.
I thought at the associate level its quite a bit lower? I've heard 200-250 in growth (minus Insight), and 300-400 in traditional PE. Or are you referring to the growth arms within megafunds?
I am referring to the latter. However, the likes of GA / TA / Insight / TCV etc won't be much lower if at all.
That’s helpful, thanks!
Any idea what hours are like in growth? Is ~60 hours a week typical?
