HarbourVest Comp, etc.
Currently weighing a career at HarbourVest against a few other firms. Does anyone have any insights as to culture, WLB, or numbers for comp on the investment team?
Thank you!

I saw one Harbourvest dude in the Delta Skyclub in Boston once and he had Bose’s QC45's instead of Sony WH-1000XM5's so I can only imagine comp is in line with general manager at Panda Express
Cool story bro
How could you MS this, brilliant addition Mr.KindHeartedConsultant
What are you talking about.. QC45 is the industry standard
Can you really call yourself a Boston fund if your website doesn’t seem like you sell boats?

They are known to have a pretty decent culture and WLB but low comp in return.
Heard their comp is decent?
I guess it’s all relative but it’s low versus other secondary firms.
Great freight rates but service can be inconsistent, would say they are a second quartile shipping firm at best.
Not sure about comp but friend who works there has very solid WLB

First year associate comp in London is £160-180
Seems to be on the lower end vs. other secondary players.
Do they offer any other benefits (carry, co-invest, …) to compensate?
what do other secondaries players pay in London?

AS 1 (BOS) 120 base / 120 cash comp
Is this for Blackstone? Seems amazing if so - does anyone have a sense of WLB?
No it's for HVP. Chill WLB.
for BX SP - heard great culture. WLB - I am not too sure in terms of avg hours but I know my friend loves his/her job there
Don’t think this is accurate, know at least Associate 1 base is higher
are you sure? could you please confirm? this is directly from my friend who went through their interview process earlier this year. I also asked a friend who currently works there (VP).
