Hg Off-Cycle Interview (Undergrad) London

Hi,

I'm having an interview next week for the undergrad Off-Cycle PE internship at Hg (London office). Does anyone know what kinds of questions to expect aside from the typical fit ones? It's supposed to run for 45 mins so I'm guessing it can't be particularly technical but would welcome some insights.

Hey haven't interviewed with Hg before but I've had a phone interview for a PE Off-Cycle where I got asked LBO-focused technicals. Btw how did you find this opportunity?

Thanks a lot! Do you mind sharing how advanced/what type of LBO questions they asked?

I found it by going on their careers website - to the best of my knowledge they didn't list it anywhere else (the deadline for March start was in November but they'll probably re-open later this year). Where did you find your off-cycle if also in London?

Think it would vary based on your level of experience, but was focused on the steps of an LBO, key drivers of valuation in LBOs, what makes a good LBO candidate, etc. Fairly high level stuff. If I had previous PE experience it could've been harder I suppose but overall was manageable. Found it through uni careers portal.

Hey, how did it go in the end? Quick question about the process - I was wondering did you submit a cover letter with your application when you applied?
