The rationale for PE continues to slim for me (undergrad student loans/lower all in PE comp).
Problem is, I want to be an investor. And get out of the sellside (albeit, preferably in more liquid markets which I find exciting - L/S would be ideal).
If I was to pursue PE, what do carry payouts actually look like for partners? Please provide examples for a $200m fund shop vs a $1,500 vs a mega fund. With realistic carry percentages please
