How to get into The Abraaj Group

Hi everyone, I wanted to get your thoughts on how to land an interview with The Abraaj Group in Dubai (and successfully pass it). Background on myself:

  • I'm an audit senior associate in big 4 in one of the US financial centers. I've been trying to move to TS and then to Abraaj but the firm seems not to support such moves from audit teams (especially because I'm a secondee). I have couple friends in TS in other big 4 companies, but I have Visa restrictions in US which makes that move a bit difficult.
  • Have an accounting qualification and recently passed CFA level II
  • Have financial modelling skills (DCF, LBO). I don't use modelling in audit work but I taught myself through online courses just to prepare myself for the investment analyst/associate roles.

Now I think the problem is it is very difficult for me to position myself as a competitive candidate for the investment analyst/associate roles because of my experience in audit. Although, I try to emphasize in my resume that I have accounting qualification, CFA level II, financial modelling skills, etc I'm just not getting response from the Abraaj.

Sorry to make this post so lengthy and specific to myself, just wanted to get your thoughts if I'm trying to do something impossible? Also do you know how important it is to have connections in Abraaj to land an interview? And any further recommendations on potential paths to Abraaj would be much appreciated!!!
