How to Recruit for PE

Hi all,

I am incredibly nervous and confused how recruiting works for PE. If someone could answer my questions I would be grateful

1) does non-target really matter here that much?

2) what technicals do they ask you? Ok you know how to do Paper LBO, model out an LBO, but what then? What else am I supposed to know? How can I learn industry trends or whatever? I am confused on what they look for?

thank you!
