How's LMM/MM PE IR looking these days?

Couple questions for you folks. For background, I'm a senior PB analyst at a BB looking to move to an IR seat within the LMM/MM PE space. How's the market looking these days? 2023 was obviously a tough fundraising year for most, and next year will likely have many of the same headwinds. Are smaller firms finding it difficult to raise capital? Has there been more activity raising from intermediaries/RIAs/UHNW space?

Secondly, how can I realistically make this move? I'm aware I don't have the most targeted background, but I have experience covering institutional-like clients and discussing private markets. Is my best bet to try and network my way into a seat? Going through HHs? Thanks all.
