1st year IB analyst at a top Canadian bank looking to lateral to PE in NY - ideally MF or UMM. Looking for advice on how to navigate PE recruitment in NY as the PE scene in Canada is pretty small. How are Canadian banks seen as in the US and are firms open to sponsoring Canadians? What is the best way to go about recruiting? Appreciate any help.
