In an interview can you discuss which parties you went to market to, if you're selling a comapny.

In an interview, I got asked which LMM/MM PE bidders we went to on a sale that hadn't closed yet.

I apologised and said I wasn't confident sharing the information was the done thing.

Was this the right move in an interview, would this be ok to disclose if the deal had closed?

Obviously I didnt mention the sell side TargetCo name.

Appreciate any advice.
