Is GIP culture really that bad?
has heard anything about culture at GIP and hours. Know it’s generally a bad rep but wondering if anyone has any more info

Good buddy of mine spent several years there - they have a brutal rep for a reason. Sounded like people there weren’t screaming/berating him like you hear at Apollo but definitely stiff/hardo types that viewed junior resources as just workhorses.
Curious on when your buddy was there. I have seen some people say that it has improved with the introduction of the analyst program and increased headcount. Any idea if this is true?
This was not too long ago - if I recall correctly the analyst program is extremely new. Take a look on LinkedIn to get a sense for the recent turnover…
My sense is if you’re all in on infra (esp power/renewables) you will get incredible exposure / reps but not for the faint of heart.
I'd rather drag my nutsack over a mile of glass shards than work at GIP. There are some things not worth it despite a lot of money, GIP is one.
