Is it acceptable to work together with more than one headhunter?

Sorry for formatting :(.

This question may sound stupid but let me elaborate.

PE recruiting typically takes place over headhunters. They will only get paid if you accept a role.

Now my question is the following: is it acceptable to work together with more than one headhunter/apply for more than one firm.

I am luckily enough to be in talks with 4 headhunters for different roles. I am now unsure if I could partake in all recruiting processes. What if I get offered more than one position? Wouldn't that destroy any future relationship with the headhunters where I have not accepted the role? Should I communicate with them beforehand that I interview for other firms as well?

Next week I have 4 2nd rounds with headhunters and I am really unsure what to do.Thanks

You absolutely should work with all headhunters. They will usually ask you to disclose if you are in the process for anything else so just be transparent that you are ongoing with other processes. They completely understand and can ask their client to accelerate your process if you are their top candidate. They all know you are in other processes and there are no hard feelings.
