Is rescheduling a Case Study for PE Interview a bad look?

I'm supposed to be taking a case study this weekend, but I'm going to have to cancel due to being in the office to get 2 deals into market next week. There's no real way for me to get out of working this weekend as I have multiple client meetings starting Saturday morning and going throughout the weekend. My MD told me this morning it's "all hands on deck" this weekend and that I'm expected to be here. While I understand this isn't a great look to the group I'm interviewing with, but I'm wondering if this comes up a lot with so many people moving into PE as IB analysts/associates. Would appreciate any thoughts on how to approach reaching out to the group I'm interviewing with to ask if I can move the case study to next weekend.

Depends if it’s a take home case study that you’ve already received or a live test. Had situations where candidates tried to reschedule submission deadlines after receiving a take home case study - obviously a no go. The latter should be alright, just try to make yourself available asap to make sure you stay in the running. Just my 2 cents.
