JPM/GS asking analysts to disclose PE offers?
I know JPM has been outwardly clear about this (Jamie) and it’s even written in offer packages. Separately, I and others at GS have heard from BUMs that we have to disclose PE offers when we get them or it’s a “potential conflict of interest.”
Anyone have any thoughts or more color on this and how people should be navigating it? Seems like JPM may be an auto termination and GS likely a soft termination / potentially de staffing risk if you disclose.
With some PE recruiting on the horizon in the next month or so, figured it’d be a helpful to discussion to have. Thanks!
