Recently got invited to interviews for the PE 2024 Analyst role. Just wanted some insight regarding culture, if pay gets better (since theyre known to pay below street), and general advice.
On my end, semi target 3.84 GPA, current FAANG intern. Debating if this would be a good move for me to pursue PE since I am very interested in software investing as a career.
There was a thread on this a few weeks ago. Per that thread, they still pay horrendous, nothing's changed there. They're a growing place that has had a lot of success, and the culture seems to be alright but there is some rough individuals.
I think I saw the same thread a bit ago. For me at least, going with this kind of avoids banking which is a good thing for me given how horrendous hiring has been. I believe they also raised a pretty big fund recently so that might pose a good situation for me in terms of good work exp earlier on.
Pay is quite terrible w/ not many other benefits than being able to skip banking. Don't get many top students in their program, mainly a sourcing role, def try and shoot for other analyst programs if possible
Pretty sure their Private Equity Analyst role is purely financial diligence - their BD team does all the sourcing. But yes, pay is low and at a ~20% discount from street based on what I've heard from friends at the firm.
