Lightweight alt data platforms (ie not Preqin)
I've been in IB / PE for 5yrs now and have yet to come across a provider of alt manager data that isn't Preqin or Pitchbook and costs $5k+ / yr. If something like this existed - ie basic fund manager data like fund history, strategy / positioning, returns, precedent fundraising decks, etc. - and cost ~$500 / yr, would that be valuable?
Thinking there has to be a long-tail of GP IR teams, IB PCM teams, people going through recurring, etc., that don't have budget for Preqin but would benefit from having access to something like this.
