Low-profile, top-performance PE firms
Would love to know/read about top PE firms with very smart teams that are relatively low-profile/less known. Have read good stuff about firms like Berkshire Partners and Oak Hill. What are similar firms in terms of AUM, success, team quality?

Aurora, Kinderhook, Seidler, Bertram, Wynnchurch, AIP, MidOcean, Incline Equity
All MM and names that I’ve heard strong data points on in terms of performance and recent fundraising momentum, but that are rarely mentioned.
Would add Clarion and Gridiron capital too. Clarion kills it in the LMM space and Gridiron has had strong returns. Both are rarely talked about on this forum
