Lower-Tier BB PE Recruiting

I'm going to a lower-tier BB for FT at a top group coming from a target with a 3.8 GPA and a SAT score of 1400 (I never submitted to my school because test test-optional). I have headhunter calls approaching and want to make sure I can tell them which competitive firms to target. I am just wondering what my shot is for UMM/MF PE for on-cycle or off? Also, what are my odds for the more competitive MM firms?

^^^^ /thread .

One other thing op — WHY do you want MF/UMM PE ? Why do you want that vs MM PE , growth, etc? Is it just because you think it sounds cool? At the end of the day these jobs are hard and you probably need more soul searching than that

Not OP, but wanted to ask you then why does anyone want to go into UMM/MF besides brand name, and bigger/complex companies to work with?
