NAV lending, pref equity into funds etc is very credit like you can prob go to a direct credit shop thereafter if you want but to be honest why leave? if money and culture are good the sector is not cooling down. Alpinvest is deploying 2 billion in fund liquidity solutions right now
Notorious worst comp on street. I'm talking like 60-80k for an analyst. Deals are hairy oil and gas / energy GP-leds and hedge fund stuff. Lots of nerds work there / not the easiest people to get along with. Rep is poor.

what about associate and up? do you think cash + bonus is in line with street or slightly below / way below?
Way below, like not even close to market. One of the guy's left to join Arena and he recently hired an associate for 80k base in NYC. Said that at LSV the pay was 60k for AN1 up to 90k for ASO1.

They've been running a hiring process and the range they gave at the assoc level was pretty in-line with market for most things I'm seeing elsewhere

Thanks. Any insights into the fund itself? I'm not too worried about exit, as it seems like a super interesting opportunity.
