MBB to MF PE
Will be heading to McKinsey, likely with a focus on technology strategy work. I'd like to return to Chicago (my home town) if I can exit to PE. I'll certainly try to do 2-3 PE cases, but I will not be anywhere near bankers in terms of my financial knowledge.
I was wondering, are there any top funds in Chicago? Preferably with a tech focus? Any that are likely to hire an ex-consultant with no finance background? I found Thoma Bravo but that seemed to be all bankers.
