Came from a media banking background so perhaps can talk about some of the funds we went out to on processes.

Media/Entertainment Focused Firms: Atwater Capital, ZMC, Shamrock, Firebird Music Holdings, Redbird Capital, Yucaipa, Arctos Sports Partners

MF/UMM (That play in media): KKR, TPG, Apollo, Carlyle, Blackstone, Silverlake, Providence, New Mountain Capital, THL, Crestview, GTCR, Sixth Street, Ares

Not a whole lot of info to give unfortunately. Seem like smart guys but we often didn't reach out depending on transaction size (e.g., $400mm+ deals). Way back when I worked on a smaller deal, we invited Andrew Vogel to a fireside chat with management and he seemed sharp, but they didn't end up bidding. Maybe others might know better.

Both seem like smart guys and know at least one of them was hiring as of recently so you should reach out if you are interested. Both play in a similar space with a similar breadth of entertainment/sports assets, but Shamrock tends to be a bit more on the entertainment side (think Hollywood deals - they have an outright content fund to invest in IP and media rights) and Redbird is a bit more on the sports side (Fenway Sports, AC Milan, etc.). But obviously they invest all across sports and media. Otherwise - in terms of culture - no clue. But hope that's helpful.

Dyal, silver lake, ares, shamrock, sixth street (really strong in this space).
