Meeting With Someone In Private Equity On Friday ADVICE NEEDED
I have been cold emailing firms the past week and got an email from a legal counsel ? at a large PE firm.
He said they get tons of resumes sent in and can't fit everyone but he would love to meet me on friday to talk about why I would fit in and my plans.
He said he would add me to the list.
This seems like my last shot as I finish my exams in 3 weeks and I am off for the summer and don't want to be working an odd job.
How should I approach this, should I just offer to work for free if they don't offer me anything ? I have never had an internship and I am a first year undergrad in a non target.
I have a pretty interesting story though, I dropped out of med school and owned a content website that got over 600,000 visits in 3 years that I started when I was 17.
You must have quite an interesting story if you are already a hedge fund CEO and had the chance to drop out of medical school before finishing your first year of undergrad.
LOL In Europe there is no undergrad before medical school, it is just a 6 year program after high school.
He might be a Mozart rapper.
Here are some things you should consider. What can you do for him/the company? Why should they trust you to get work done for them? How bad do you want to work for THEM, have you been on their site, looked at recent news, know the key people, understand their mission, values, culture, type of work, etc. Can you connect with him?
