I am curious as to the climate of being a principal at a megafund in New York. Are the politics overwhelming? How involved are they in the deal process compared to a partner? Are they ever fired? What is their annualized comp including carry? And how do all of these points compare to that of a principal at smaller firms ranging from MM to small cap firms.
