Merchant Bankers, What do you like about the industry?
A recruiter reached out to and I've been invited to interview with a merchant bank (using that to mean a group that makes PE investments & renders IB services). Curious to hear from those that work in the space what you enjoy about the merchant banking space. I'm an IB associate and would be interviewing for an associate role.

It's private equity at a bank. Most likely you are interviewing for the Rothschild investment arm.
GS private equity team used to be called Merchant Banking before they change the name to AM private
