MF Alternatives in Private Equity

I was looking at some PE shops, and I noticed one MM shop with $17B AUM, but the track from analyst to partner was super short and a surprising amount of analysts progressed to that role. It’s a small firm personnel wise but the track to partner seems to be under 10 years. If you had to choose between going to a firm like that out of college vs a 2 year analyst role at a MF like KKR or BX, which would you choose?
