MidCap Financial Rep?
Looking into MidCap as an analyst. Was wondering what their rep is like in the industry. Seems like apollo’s MM credit platform. Would it be a good place for a junior to learn?
Comp is below market but that also comes with below market hours
I did hear that. Any info on specific analyst comp? Wondering how much of a cut it is compared to market.
Nice people work there but ther is limited deal flow. Everything comes to them via Apollo..lots of people sitting waiting for deals to work on.
Thanks for the insight - any idea if people move to another firm after (upmarket) or if moving to special situations / opportunistic roles after is possible? Considering either staying at a mid tier MM IB or moving into the credit scene.

Deal flow, I do not think, is very limited for them. They get a bunch of origination from Apollo, but also from their own originators, and they are pretty dominant in the middle market PC space.
