Mountaineering as hobby

Hi monkeys:

I’m at a PE shop in midwest, and seem like a lot of senior people in the industry here like mountaineering. Is this the same in New York /large cities too? What interesting hobbies outside of golf, vacation etc do you see senior people In PE have?

"JS Turnaround" Who likes mtnrg? I spent 20 years totally obsessed with it but have so very rarely ever met anyone professionally who climbs/climbed. 2 that I can think of. Frankly, highly distressed PE scratches an itch of mine very similar to what alpinism did but without nearly the amount of suffering - and much better pay.

.

My firm has leadership who loves mountaineering but we are located in the Mountain West so it comes with the territory.
