How would this even work? Why are you even asking about this? On cycle is 24-36 hours so how would you even have the time to get multiple offers? This is ridiculous to ask and has probably never happened before

People on this app are so quick to aggressively judge with no experience. This happened to my 2nd year analyst. Unclear on what was said to HHs, but got an offer night one, spent day two morning interviewing at another firm, got it and took it. Both top shops

Very unusual because most offers are exploding and processes run concurrently. If you have a non-exploding offer; it's possible. However, very few people have the risk tolerance or interest of turning down any large UMM/MF with a exploding offer. With that being said; I am sure it has happened. I would heavily not recommend you re-recruit post getting an offer because PE is a small world and being blacklisted from a HH lowers your opportunity down the line drastically (the same top headhunters here also do SA or VP PE recruiting and do HF PE recruiting).

Only story I knwo of is someone turning down a lower UMM ($4 - 6bn fund size) firm on day 1, but then end up striking out for on-cycle. Person ended up at another lower UMM during off-cycle.
