Need to disclose PE offer to HR?
Basically the question, I work at a BB in their capital markets division (I'm an intern) and I was wondering if I should disclose that I have an internship offer from a PE firm, in case there are some conflicts. I was told to never do that as you will basically never be staffed on anything once they find out you are leaving, but at the same time maybe that's only true for FT Analysts? Should I disclose it only if I decide to sign the offer from the PE firm, or should I not do that in any case? maybe it's not an allowed post, just wanted to get people's opinion, that's all, cheers.
Why would you disclose it at all... makes no sense.
Maybe it's stupid, but we were basically told that any potential conflict, which could include future job offers, had to be reported, and they would be the ones to determine if they are conflict or not
