Monkeys,
There's been a flurry of fundraising in my sector and many funds have been raised in the past 6 months from notable names. I'm interested in hearing if any monkeys have side-stepped the headhunter process and reached out to new funds directly to get there. If so, could you elaborate on your experience and how you ultimately secured your spot?

Can't hurt to reach out but do realize that a lot of these new funds probably have teams that came from established firms (i.e. they'll have plenty of headhunter contacts when they decide to do junior hiring)
