I already checked the WSO Company Database (which is really helpful by the way) and found some good search results, but I thought I would ask around here. I'm interested in finding Private Equity firms located in or near Newport Beach, CA. If anyone has any information or names that would be much appreciated. Thank you

That's awfully specific for such a NY-centric business. Are you so dedicated to a certain neighborhood that you can't drive across town, even if it's for a job in one of the most exclusive, coveted areas in finance?
It's probably because he still lives with his parents, and his mom will only drive him to work within a 5 mile vicinity.
There aren't many, but one I've had direct dealings with is Windjammer and I believe they're legit. I've heard of Marwit and Clearlight but can't comment on how good they are.
I've heard good things about Windjammer as well - I believe they invest across the cap structure, not just investing in the equity.

Don't think that is right. 35b AUM would make it one of the largest PE firms in the country, and, to my knowledge none are in Orange County. Possibly a satellite office?
And even the largest PE shops in SoCal are based in LA proper IIRC (Oaktree and LG)
Thought the same thing, searched through Google and found none. This was more of a sanity check. If not too troublesome, can you guys name some of the reputable PE shops in the OC area?
