No On-Cycle Interviews
With on cycle kicking off, I’ve gotten no interviews and barely any big HH outreach. What should I do to get into on-cycle if I can do anything?
For context at a low-BB, non-target
Exact same spot but from a target. I have a feeling headhunters are being really selective with who they’re showing and it’s all based on strength of bank / group. It blows tho.
I was thinking of reaching back out to headhunters now - but I doubt that will do anything (might even piss them off).
Only move I think is to wait and kill any interviews that come up in the next 36 hours or go for off cycle. I’m sure there will be plenty of spots seeing as general consensus is that firms are holding candidates to an equally high standard despite making interviews earlier.
Just my two cents - hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can jump in.
Nothing at this point, a few funds went and were only interested in top groups. Just consider what type of investing really interest you and prepare to go off-cycle.
Besides EVR M&A, EVR Rx, PJT RSSG, Laz, GS TMT, GS FIG, what other groups got pinged?

Truth is it wasn't just top EB/BB groups. Have friends at solid coverage at BofA/Barclays/Citi and they all got hits
MMs getting hits too. Know a couple kids at Piper who had interviews last night
