On Cycle 2026

At a target and have been getting outreach by all top headhunters (CPI, HSP, Amity, etc.) to schedule introductory meetings for this coming week. Does anybody have any insight on these or have an idea of when on cycle will start. Surely it can't kick off before July....

Given that a lot of analyst are not even in New York during june, the earliest it would make sense to start is after july 4th. However, PE firms are insane and recruiters will never push back on their clients so I wouldn't be suprised.

I have had intro calls with the above mentioned over the past couple of weeks. The conversations have been relatively relaxed and the subject matter is mostly behavioral: "tell me about a time...?" "Why PE?" type questions. By and large probably a preliminary gauge on candidates and their recruiting preferences.

Ye it seems the MD I spoke to was full of shit/ did not exist / I made it up 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪No way oncycle can start in June fr fr🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 Like most analysts aren’t even in NY yet 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 sincere apologies for all the stress it caused 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Literally just had communication with a HH about a firm recruiting on-cycle and they said they will start hosting info chats and networking events "later in the summer". Obviously all it takes is one firm to kick things off, but a lot of banks (GS is one of them i think) don't start training late june/july and people may be still traveling/not in the city. So would be shocked if they kick off knowing they would miss a lot of talent.

Clowns like this who have never posted a thing on the forum and decide finally to share their wisdom spreading bullshit are precisely what will make on-cycle kickoff when everyone’s abroad traveling lmao
