On Cycle Chances
Hey everyone, I’m incoming at a top EB and interested in on cycle, specifically for MFPE. However, I’m concerned that my 3.7 GPA might put me at a disadvantage. I go to a target notorious for grade deflation (MIT/Princeton/UChicago), my major was CS, and I had a 36 ACT. Would firms still be off-put by my sub 3.8 GPA? Thanks!
You're absolutely screwed for any buyside role. You only have three options the way I see it:
1) Remain An1 at your EB for life
2) Lateral to back office and grind to Compliance/Control/HR MD
3) Exit finance and open a fast food franchise
Haha I’m sorry if my post comes off wrong, I’m genuinely just a bit concerned since a lot of people on this forum seem to say 3.8 is the safe zone and anything below isn’t ideal since there’s so many candidates with 3.8+ already.
