On-Cycle Odds

Had more traction with certain HHs and less with others. Attended maybe a total of ~10 breakfasts and invited to maybe ~15 (know that I was not invited to some).

Coffee chats with around 5 firms. Does no coffee chat = no interview when process kicks off? Have you been invited to coffee chats following those breakfasts or cocktail events?

Also could be helpful to hear which MFs have done coffee chats already. Most interested in Carlyle, CD&R, Altas, Am Sec and other strong UMM/MF industrial names. Would appreciate any insights on if those firms have done coffee chats and whether they will interview soon

Cooked if no coffee chats?

Heard L Cat doesn't do coffee chats but straight model tests

Is it too late to reach out to headhunters? There is a specific HH firm I have not gotten outreach from but was going to wait until start of Jan. If I don’t get coffee chats coming MBB am I going to get passed up?..

Tangentially - currently a BB lateral hire AN1/2 arriving 1Q25. What could I expect from HH outreach? Should I still expect HH emails to my inbox, or have you OGs been getting emails /been on lists since AN1 training? Not very familiar with how HH find contacts.

Similar comment / question — are there current AN2 participating (with plans to do a third analyst year until 2027) or will HH/firms only look at AN1?

No coffee chat = most likely no interview at this stage. But follow up with all head hunters you never know
